Cambrian Nomads
Whatever the reason, all of our members enjoy themselves.
Walking with the Nomads is a great way to meet new people, make friends and explore the many
beautiful locations in Rhondda Cynon Taff (and beyond).

How green is our valley?
Well it's pretty green and our aim is to make it greener. Developing and
promoting Cwmclydach's natural beauty is what we do... and we need is the
support and involvement of the people of Cwmclydach.

Spring Clean 2009
The spring clean is always a popular event and this year was
no exception, with 20 volunteers braving heavy rain to help restore the
Cambrian Memorial and Top Lake to their natural beauty. Ben Williams from
Keep Wales Tidy was also on hand with RCT's Tidy Towns team, to assist with
the clean up and collect all the rubbish at the end of the morning. The
event was a great success. The group carried out a detailed clean up of the
area and also cleared two fly tips that had built up on an embankment
alongside the Top Lake access road.

Winter Clean Up 2009
Only the die-hard volunteer ventures out in Mid-February to
collect rubbish, but here in Cwmclydach, we have a dedicated band of
followers who braved the winter breeze and muddy ground for little more than
a thank you (and a free buffet at the end).
With support provided by RCT Tidy Towns and Keep Wales Tidy,
we successfully cleaned up the Old Railway trail, a key gateway into Clydach
Vale Countryside Park.
